The print comes from the Thesaurus Veteris et Novi Testamenti, a collection of groups of prints by different designers and engravers published together by Gerard de Jode in Antwerp in 1585.

Text in the lower margin from Matthew 25: "Qui vero vnum acceperat abiens fodit in terrain et abscondit pecuniam Domini sui."
