Two undated letters from W.R. Inge believed to be to Norman Pittenger although they are only addressed 'Dear Sir;':
(1) letter written from Trengwainton, Heamoor, Cornwall expressing his opinion that he did not think that disestablishment was imminent as it was a lower class movement and that section of society had lost its power. There was no marked increase in Roman Catholicism although there was a growing taste for sacramentalism and ritual. Dated 8 April but no year is given
(2) letter written from the Deanery at St Paul's Cathedral saying that Professor lake was a very clever man but didn't have any real faith. Goes on to discuss his view as to whether the historical Christ was Divine. Advises that faith should be built on faith.
