In 1956 the Magdalene Magazine in its old form was discontinued chiefly on the grounds of expense and was replaced by the Magdalene College Magazine and Record. The new and reduced form would contain articles, serious and light, on things that interested Magdalene men. All members were invited to make contributions. The period covered by the 'Record' was 1 September to 31 August.
