Note
According to the son of Denis Glass his father had written to the News Chronicle [later absorbed by The Daily Mail] and was angry that his letter had been shortened on publication but a longer letter written phonetically had been published in order to ridicule him. He was delighted that C.S. Lewis wrote to him and to the newspaper agreeing with him.
