Album binding description: 19th century autograph album, full-bound in red leather with gilt armorial stamp with motto ‘Science et conscience” and central figure which also appear in the bookplate of Jean-Sylvain Van de Weyer. Six raised bands with spine decorations in gilt. Letting in gilt on spine: “AUTOGRAPHS I PORTRAITS”. Roll tooled border decorations in gilt on upper and lower boards. Triple fillet decoration in gilt on board edges. Roll tooled decorations in gilt on turn-ins. All edges gilt.
