- ‘Mother’ and ‘Father’ (Edith Emma and Charles Henry Turner) went to Egypt for six months. Hey were joined on Christmas Day by Elly (Eleanor) and Hilda who then went on to Palestine
- Aunt Rose has gone to South Africa
- Marian is the Headmistress of a girl’s school at Brown’s Town, Jamaica
- Francis has had scarlet fever in Switzerland
- George went to Oxford in 1910
- Elly (Eleanor) became and M.D. in 1910 and in 1911 became the first woman F.R.C.S.
- In the beginning of 1913, Marian passed successfully the examination for the Cambridge Teaching Diploma, just before her last term at St Mary’s College, Lancaster gate, where she spent a year
- In 1911 father gave up a large part of his diocese and St Andrew’s, Undershaft
Ralph has become curate of St Peter’s, South Tottenham - Henry has been made a Captain in the territorial Force
- Arthur left Trinity College in 1912. He is now Secretary of the Anglican Christian Fellowship
- Rachel has gone to Miss Lacey’s School at Highgate for the last time
- Elly is on the surgical staff of the new hospital for women
- Arthur has a commission in the 2nd battalion, Connaught Rangers
- Henry is political agent at Horsham
