The collection is in four parts:

(1) 19 Letters written while in residence in Magdalene, 17 of them to his mother Lady Acton (in French) and two to his brother Sir Richard Acton (in English), 13 February 1820 - 26 August 1821

(2) Photocopies of two reports on the interviews between Pope Gregory XVI and Czar Nicholas I of Russia, 1845:

(i) 'Relazione dell' udienza data S. Padre a S.M. L'Imperatore di tutte le Russie nella mattina dei 13 Dicembre 1845' (23 pp)

(ii) 'Relazione della seconda ed ultima udienza data dalla Santità di Nostro Signore a S.M. L'Imperatore delle Russie nella mattina dei 17 Dicembre 1845' (22 pp)
