Historique
George Charlewood Turner was a pupil, Housemaster, and eventually Master at Marlborough College, Wiltshire. George won the top Foundation Scholarship at Marlborough College. He went from being Master at Marlborough to being the Principal of Makerere College, Uganda, from 1939-1946, where he taught President Nyerere. He eventually became Headmaster of Charterhouse for five years, serving afterwards as Chairman of the Governing Body.
