History
Susanna Mary Churton was the daughter of Edward Churton, Archdeacon of Cleveland.
In 1859 she married Revd William Inge (her father's curate at Crayke).
They had three sons and three daughters:
William Ralph Inge (1860–1954), theologian, Dean of St Paul's
Edward Churton Inge (1864–1865), died in infancy
Charles Cuthbert Inge (1868–1937), Vicar of St Giles' Church, Oxford
Agnes Sophia Inge
Mary Caroline Inge (died 1896), unmarried
Mary Anne Inge, died in infancy
Susanna published anonymously a Short Memoir of her father (1874) and edited a volume of his Poetical Remains (1876) which included some of his own verse as well as translations from Spanish, Catalan, and Anglo-Saxon.
She is sometimes referred to in the family letters as Susan.
