MCCA/MCCS/1/5/3 · Subseries · 1990, 1991, 1992
Part of College Archives

The Fairbairn Cup is an annual event organised in Michaelmas Term by Jesus College Boat Club. It is named after Steve Fairbairn, the most influential man in the history of Jesus College Boat Club and arguably in Cambridge rowing.
In 1927, Fairbairn arranged a provisional Lents line up and raced the crews off each other on the Cam. In 1928, the JCBC were joined by crews from Fitzwilliam, Sidney Sussex, Peterhouse and St. Catharine's. In 1929 the race was opened to all colleges and Steve Fairbairn donated a Cup - the 'Fairbairn Cup Races' were founded.

Menus for the Fairbairn Cup Dinner. All include a printed list of crews:

1927, 1928, 1929 [these are possibly not strictly Fairbairn Cup dinners due to the dates but they were held in November]
1937 [Light Fours and Fairbairn Cup]
1990 (3 copies), 1991, 1992

Also printed invitation to the dinner [undated and not filled out to anyone].
