This series consists of title deeds, estate correspondence, and other unbound material. The arrangement follows, as far as possible, that of the 19th century Index to Muniments or Muniments Book which has the Old Library reference R.2.5, and to which certain alterations and additions have been made.

All dates are set out in the current Style (but reckoning the Year of Grace from 1 January). Dating errors in the Muniments Book have been corrected, but the order of the documents has not normally been disturbed - with the result that some of the lists which follow are not in precise chronological order.

At a meeting of the Governing Body, 6 October 1931:
"It was agreed that a system of Committees to prepare business for meetings of the Governing Body and to make recommendations to it should be tried experimentally for one year".

It was felt that the needs would be met by the appointment of a Tutorial and a Finance and General Business Committee.

At a meeting of the Governing Body on 11 October 1932 it was agreed to continue the system of Committees.

Quarterly bills including the items – books, milliner, stationer, apothecary, chandler, butter and cheese, tailor, barber, joiner, bedmaker, shoemaker, dyer, stewards bill, sizar, tuition, draper, cook, charity school, laundress, shoemaker.

Quarterly bills for each undergraduate. These are arranged by admission date of student. Then all the bills accrued by the student during their time at the College are listed.

Items include cook, tailor, buttery bill, bedmaker, shoes, barber, laundress, books apothecary, joiner, glazier, and tuition.

At the back are receipts and payments including surplice fees at All Saints for christenings, marriages, and burials, 3 August 1712 – 21 July 1713.

On the first page is written the name Gabriel Quadring [Master, 1690-1713]

At the front and back (reversed) of the volume are quarterly bills for each undergraduate. They are arranged by admission of student and then all the quarterly bills for that students time at the College are listed.

Items include stewards bill, buttery bill, books, barber, bedmaker, tuition, shoemaker, apothecary, laundress.

On blank pages and in gaps at the bottom of pages are notes about receipts, payments by Dr Quadring, and amounts lent by Dr Quadring with promises to repay. These usually don’t list what the payments are for and are not arranged strictly chronologically.

Termly College bills. These list the charges made for standard services such as bedmaker, laundress, matriculation fee, coals, hall dinners, tutorial fund and public lectures.

College assessment for the University Fund.

The Archive contains documents relating to the history of the College dating back to its re foundation by Lord Audley in 1542 and includes:

Official records generated by the College relating to its administration and governance including Governing Body Minute Books, Masters’ Records, Financial Records, and Estate Papers,

Records relating to its students including admission records, tutorial files, and matriculation photographs,

Records of related bodies such as clubs and societies,

The photograph collection.
