Indentures for two messuages in Cambridge.

This inn was located at 11 Magdalene Street (now under the Master's front garden). The first mention in records dates to 1603. It was purchased for the College in 1615 by the Master Barnaby Gouche. It disappears from the records in the 17th century.

The Fairbairn Cup is an annual event organised in Michaelmas Term by Jesus College Boat Club. It is named after Steve Fairbairn, the most influential man in the history of Jesus College Boat Club and arguably in Cambridge rowing.
In 1927, Fairbairn arranged a provisional Lents line up and raced the crews off each other on the Cam. In 1928, the JCBC were joined by crews from Fitzwilliam, Sidney Sussex, Peterhouse and St. Catharine's. In 1929 the race was opened to all colleges and Steve Fairbairn donated a Cup - the 'Fairbairn Cup Races' were founded.

This was the first exhibition in the Cripps Gallery. It chronicled the 1921 reconnaissance expedition to Everest through photographs lent by the Royal Geographical Society. George Mallory, an alumni of Magdalene, was part of the expedition.

Fragile Planet - Watercolour Journeys into Wild Places.

This was a major exhibition of the watercolours of artist Tony Foster. The exhibition focused on five landscape areas - Rainforests, Water, Arctic, Deserts, and Cornwall - with accompanying key information about their plight.

From Southwold to Alice Springs: Selected works from the Collection of Robert Cripps.

This exhibition showcased a small snapshot of the paintings, drawings and engravings acquired by Robert Cripps, reflecting both his deep roots in the countryside and coast of East Anglia and his championing of the indigenous art and artists of his adopted Australian home.

This exhibition was an important retrospective featuring the wide-ranging portfolio of Will Carter (one of Cambridge’s most respected and much-loved resident artists), including many examples of his calligraphy, letter carving, printing, and typefaces created for private clients and public commissions.

This exhibition showcased the work of Czech artist Jiří Kolář who worked across different media. He was a poet, writer, and translator who expanded the boundaries of modern art by deconstructing the printed image and word. In reassembling and constructing images in collage, he created often absurd commentaries on modern life and the turmoil he faced as a political dissident in Communist Czechoslovakia.
