Letters from George Turner to Ruth Turner. The earliest letter (9 February 1926) is about George Turner's appointment as the Master of Marlborough. The second letter (22 April 1935) was written while George Turner was visiting Washington D.C. In the third letter (1 January 1938), George Turner apologises for deciding to leave his role at Marlborough and take a job as Master of Makerere, as Ruth Turner was living at Marlborough College.

The other letters cover the period 1944 - 1945, when George Turner was Master of Makerere College, Uganda. He touches on the war, his living conditions, his social engagements, and his job.

Miscellaneous letters from the Turner family collection.

The letter dated 21 July 1806 is written to a "Mr Bunyon" from [A/ ? Hope].

The remaining letters are addressed to Charlie Matthews, (21 October 1917 - 24 March 1918), and are from Arthur Turner, William Malkin, Ruth Turner, Edith Turner, Charles Turner, Bessie Malkin, and a member of a club that Arthur helped organise.

The letter from Arthur Turner (21 October 1917) concerns his schedule, the war, and the activities of a religious committee.

The remaining letters (January - March 1918) concern an obituary that Charlie Matthews was writing for Arthur Turner in The Challenge, as well as the posthumous publication of an essay by Arthur Turner, 'Concerning Prayer'.
