The collection contains some of Simon Barrington-Ward's letters, articles, sermons, and Christmas cards (sent to Ronald Hyam). There is a file about his appointment as Bishop of Coventry and a biographical file which includes his obituary.
Gramophone record of a Magdalene Chapel Service on 28 October 1956, in which Francis Turner played the organ. The preacher was Reverend Professor J. Burnaby. The record was presented to Francis Turner by the Chaplain, Simon Barrington-Ward.
The record is held in its original box. A label on the inside says "F. Mc. D. C. T. From some fellow worshippers."

The reverse of the black and white photograph is captioned with the names of attendees, including Simon Willink, John Ellis, Maurice Isaac, John Walsh, Simon Barrington-Ward, Ronald Archer, Anthony Jay, G. Stuart, J. Bellington and Martin Bott.
The colour photograph was presented by Dr John Walsh, and is of a Kingsley Club dinner hosted in the Old Library in the early 1950s.
