Within the College Archive we hold the personal papers of former Masters, Fellows, alumni and other people associated with the College.
Many of these are artificial collections put together by the former Emeritus Archivist. With these collections the material has been divided into:
(1) named collections - this is a substantial amount of original material - letters, diaries, photographs etc
(2) old members papers - these are smaller collections of original material such as a photograph album or one diary
(3) supporting material - this is secondary material not created by the person but which sheds light on their life and career, such as obituaries, articles about them, photographs of gravestones or memorials
If there is a named or old members papers entry for them then the supporting papers have been kept with the collection.
If there is no other material in the Archive then a seperate Biographical File has been created See: MCHR/1
