Note
On Saturday 11 June 1982 a Special Meeting of the Boat Club was held in the Parlour to which all post World War II Presidents and Secretaries were invited. It was decided that the office of President be held by a former Magdalene oarsman and that a Committee of Management be established to assist the Captain and Secretary in matters of overall policy, provision of major items of equipment, raising and use of funds, engagement of coaches, and general stimulation of support both within and outside the College. The Committee would meet at least once each term and an Annual General Meeting, open to all Boat Club members past and present, to be held on the final day of the May Races.
The first A. G. M. was held on 11 June 1983.
