'The Buttery Booke Beginning December ye 24th 1703. Edward Townsend' is written on the first page. There are pen trials which include the name Edward Townsend written multiple times and also 'Anne Queen of England'.
Buttery book recording weekly totals spent by each member of College on sizings (food bought from the buttery in addition to their commons). The volumes list the members of College in order of seniority followed by a total amount spent.
At the bottom of each page are totals for:
pane, potu, incre, poore and prom.
At the back of the volume are further accounts from 15 December 1710 to 19 June 1713 'remains in ale and beer' and 'spent on ale and beer'.
