'The Buttery Book June ye 28th 1700 Edward Townsend' is written on the first page along with pen trials including the names Elizabeth Payne and Millington and the words Master and Concoxion'. There are more pen trials at the back including the name John Thurloe and the word collequim.
Buttery book recording weekly totals spent by each member of College on sizings (food bought from the buttery in addition to their commons). The volumes list the members of College in order of seniority followed by a total amount spent.
At the bottom of each page are totals for:
pane, potu, incre, poore and prom.
