'Buttery Book' and the name 'Allen Townsend' is written on the first page along with pen trials including the name Chadwick.
Buttery book recording weekly totals spent by each member of College on sizings (food bought from the buttery in addition to their commons). The volumes list the members of College in order of seniority followed by a total amount spent.
At the bottom of each page are totals for:
pane, potu, incre, poore and prom.
There are some loose pages which have been inserted into the volume for 14 December 1671 - 24 September 1680. These accounts include totals for remains in wheat and sedge, amounts paid to Mr Sidgwick, disbursements and exerise for dividends.
At the back of the volume are accounts for 'Remains in ale' and 'Remains in beer' for 1691 to 1704.
