'Alen Townsends Booke' is written on the first page along with pen trials including the names Goodman and Carter.
Buttery book recording weekly totals spent by each member of College on sizings (food bought from the buttery in addition to their commons). The volumes list the members of College in order of seniority followed by a total amount spent.
At the bottom of each page are totals for:
pane, potu, incme, poore and prom.
At the back of the volume are quarterly bills for the College from 1691 to 1695. The items include:
for a man to help to brew, scalding the backs and copper, wine for the sacrament, for looking after the gates and clocks, for paper and brooms.
